Preserved Blueberries in Jars


Ingredients

4 cups fresh blueberries Fruits& Vegetables

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup water

1/2 cup sugar (optional)

Sterilized glass jars with lids

Instructions

Wash the blueberries thoroughly and remove any damaged berries. Fruits& Vegetables

Sterilize the jars and lids by boiling them in water for 10 minutes.

In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and lemon juice. Heat until the sugar dissolves completely.

Fill each jar with fresh blueberries, leaving about 1/2 inch (1 cm) of headspace.

Pour the warm syrup over the blueberries until they are fully covered.

Remove any air bubbles and wipe the jar rims clean. KitchenUtensils & Gadgets

Seal the jars tightly with the lids.

Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.

Remove the jars and let them cool completely.

Store in a cool, dark place for up to one year.

Serving Suggestions

Add to yogurt or oatmeal.

Use as a topping for pancakes or waffles.

Mix into smoothies.

Use in pies, muffins, and desserts.
