Recipe Introduction: This gratin de coquillettes is the perfect comfort food, rich and creamy with a golden, crispy top. The combination of creamy sauce and tender pasta will leave everyone wanting more. It’s an easy-to-make dish, ideal for a cozy family meal or special occasion.

Ingredients:

300 g coquillettes (small pasta)

220 g crème liquide (liquid cream)

180 g lait entier (whole milk)

40 g beurre (butter)

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: grated cheese for the topping (e.g., Gruyère, cheddar)

Instructions:

Cook the Coquillettes:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the coquillettes according to the package instructions (usually around 8-10 minutes). Drain the pasta and set aside.

Prepare the Creamy Sauce:

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the cream and milk, then stir well to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly.

Assemble the Gratin:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large baking dish, combine the cooked coquillettes and the creamy sauce. Stir well to coat all the pasta evenly.

If you wish, sprinkle a generous amount of grated cheese on top for a golden, crispy crust.

Bake:

Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
