Cotton-Like Cheese-Stuffed Bread Rolls

Fluffy Swirl Milk Buns (Super Soft Bread Rolls)

 

Ingredients

 

 

Dry ingredients:

 

4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour

3 tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp instant yeast

Wet ingredients:

 

1 cup warm milk

1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter

1 egg

For brushing:

 

1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

1. Make the Dough

In a bowl, combine:

Flour

Sugar

Salt

Instant yeast

Add:

Warm milk

Oil (or melted butter)

Egg

Mix and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and soft.

The dough should be slightly sticky but elastic.

2. First Rise

Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

3. Shape the Swirls

Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a rope (about 25–30 cm).

Roll the rope into a spiral shape — like a snail.

Place the swirls in a greased baking tray close together.

4. Second Rise

Cover again and let them rise 30–40 minutes until puffy.

5. Brush & Bake

Brush the tops with egg yolk + milk mixture.

Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes, until beautifully golden brown.

6. Optional Glaze (for shine and softness)

While still hot, brush lightly with:

Melted butter

OR

A mix of honey + a little water
