Crispy Onion Cheddar Chips

Ingredients:

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup crispy fried onions (like French’s)

¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)

Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix the shredded cheddar, crispy onions, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl.

Scoop heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto the baking sheet, spacing them out. Gently flatten each mound a bit.

Bake for 6–8 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.

Cool on the sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a paper towel to drain and crisp up fully.

Tips:

Want a spicy kick? Add a pinch of cayenne.

Store in an airtight container once completely cooled.

Note: These crispy onion cheddar chips are best enjoyed fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For extra crispiness, you can reheat them in the oven for a few minutes before serving.
